According to legend, an Ethiopian goatherd had discovered coffee. Coffee was basic food and beverage for African tribesmen. Now, large amounts of coffee are sold world as it is one of the top value in trade. Coffee exporting countries depend on coffee as the main income. Many people depend on coffee for their living and drink plenty of them. In 1975, frost killed nearly half of Brazil’s coffee trees and changed the prices. In 1979, Brazil was hit by frost again. Trees lost result in no income for three to five years. The income loss resulting 15 million trees were lost. Brazil stopped exporting coffee. Importers bought it and afraid of the shortage. Prices increased and farmers planted more. The prices fell due to abundances. Farmers began exchanging coffee for other crops. Both producers and consumers decided to have a limit to what the market can absorb and sell at agreeable prices.
