Reflective Journal 2

I learnt that "The latest predictions state that tigers will be extinct in the wild by the year 2015. That is less than twelve short years from now. That’s less then fourteen years to save a creature that has been around far longer then ourselves. Tigers are an integral part of the ecosystem, and a major link in the food chain." The tigers are also often killed in very cruel ways.

I also learnt that "16,306 of 41,415 species on the IUCN Red List are threatened with extinction, reports the World Conservation Union (IUCN). The total number of known extinct species now stands at 785, while a further 65 are only found in captivity or in cultivation. The IUCN Red List is considered the most authoritative assessment of the global status of plants and animals. It classifies species according to their extinction risk and is available online as a searchable database."

I think we should at least try our best to conserve these two animals as they are going to be extinct. If these two animals extinct, they cannot be seen anywhere in the world. Therefore, we should really help to conserve these two animals.
