After doing research on the causes of tigers and iguanas decreasing in India, I continue to do research to find out the effects of tigers and iguanas decreasing in India. The effect of the tigers decreasing is due to the poaching of many tigers. The tiger’s population itself is rapidly decreasing in India. India, which had 40,000 tigers just one century ago, now, has only about 1,411 tigers left in the country – which is quite a huge decrease.
The effect of iguanas decreasing is the ecosystems, which they belong to, suffered serious problems. Many native plants were suffered as iguanas are the main or important seed dispersers to the native plants. The other effect is many female iguanas could not give birth since most of the iguanas are very hard to find these days. Lastly, due to females being choosey, they also have low rates of survival.
My views have changed as I do not know that there are effects of tigers and iguanas decreasing and this is what I have learnt. I think that these effects may be negative and we should now stop killing or hunting the tigers and iguanas as these may lead to such negative effects.
