Confessoins of Agliophobia

Does everyone in the world have phobia? I think the answer is “Yes”. Now, let me share with you about my phobia. I have odynophobia which known as a fear of pain.

This phobia had started since I was in primary one. I was very frightened when I knew I had to go for an injection. There are three reasons why I am scare of injection. The first reason is when the nurse inserts the needle into my body; I will feel very uncomfortable and starts to cry. The second reason is when the needle is pulled out; I will think that the bloods were not stop bleeding. The third reason is I scare there will be a mark left on my body for the rest of my life.

When I was in primary one, I was required to go for a check-up which was held in my primary school by the Health Promotion Board. The nurses will check my eyesight and give me an injection to see the healthiness of my body. When I heard of the word “injection”, I will shiver with cold as I am very scare. When the nurses called my name, I walked as slow as a tortoise to the nurse. Before I even sat down, I started crying like a baby. The nurse asked me not to cry as she said the more you cry, the more you will be scare. Later, the nurse inserted the needle slowly into my arm and I was still crying a little. From then on, I will remember this incident.

My school holidays

I went to Taiwan from 21st december to 27th December. I went to the food streets and the shopping streets. First, the food and the desserts sold over there were very unique as they are only sold in Taiwan. Some of the special food are fried bird nest egg, thirty centimetres long Taiwanese sausage, bamboo steamed rice. There are many tastes of beancurd sold over there. Some of them are mixed fruit beancurd, chocolate beancurd, strawberry beancurd and many others. I remembered I bought an ice-cream which was only Singapore Dollars fifty cents. Secondly, The shopping streets were like the Bugis street in Singapore. The things sold along the shopping streets were cheaper than those sold in Singapore. I also went to the Taipei 101. The things sold over there were very expensive. This is what I do during my holidays
